Concluding Thoughts

While the vote tally wasn’t in my favor, I still had a winning experience in my run for the Olmsted County District 4 Commissioner seat. I learned much and met many wonderful people during my first political campaign. I discovered that door knocking was like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates — “you never know what you’re gonna get!” Yet amidst our wonderful diversity, we have more in common than we think.

Thank you to the many supporters who went on this journey with me. I really appreciate all the efforts and contributions you gave to the campaign. I’m proud of what we accomplished toward our common goal of shaping a better future for Olmsted County.

Thank you to all the voters who participated in the most important civic duty they have as citizens. Please reach out to those who chose not to fully engage in this election and explain to them why you voted and what it means to you.

Congratulations to Commissioner Flynn. Thank you for your continued public service. It is a tremendous responsibility to address the needs of such a large, diverse district. What we accomplish locally is the foundation for building a better world. I encourage you to use all means possible to reach out to all who live and work in District 4. Good luck and best wishes.
